RMG – Rector Major's video message, end of extraordinary Novena to Mary Help of Christians
(ANS – Rome) – On March 24, the day of the monthly commemoration of Mary Help of Christians, the extraordinary novena proposed by the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, ended in considerations regarding the health emergency caused by the spread of Covid-19. At the end of the extraordinary Novena to Mary Help of Christians, prayed throughout the Salesian world, the Rector Major invited everyone to make an Act of Entrustment, renew with the heart of Don Bosco one’s trust in Mary Most Holy, in this hour of great trial and suffering.
On March 24, through a video message recorded at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Rome, the Rector Major also wished to send his greetings and encouragement to the Salesian Family across the globe.
In this video, the 10th Successor of Don Bosco invited everyone to trust Mary Help of Christians and to entrust our prayers to her for all those who suffer, for those who have lost a loved one, or for those who have loved ones in the hospital, but also for all health professionals who are working every day to help others.
In line with the Strenna 2020’s theme, the Rector Major also recalled that this difficult historical moment calls everyone to an active and responsible citizenship.
